Meeting Minutes: September 20, 2012 meeting minutes were presented and approved.
Treasurers Report: In a discussion about reducing the Fair parking attendee’s to one per parking lot to increase the funds raised per hour worked, the concept of “dual control” at fundraising activities (such as fair parking and gift wrapping) where cash is handled was explained. Dual control is having a minimum of two adults present when cash is handled and is needed due to some prior GBC experience with mishandling of cash. Cart-wheel-a-thon receipts are over $2,300 to date. GBC rents a storage space from Marci Campbell for $300 per year to keep GBC items, such as gift wrapping supplies/furnishings.
Mismo Magical Meet (MMM): In a discussion about the MMM and the roles of the GBC, Kelley told Alicia that she has decided not to rent the gymnastic equipment due to the additional cost and that GBC will have the opportunity to raise funds as in previous years. (the “gate”, the raffle baskets, concessions and the program.)
The proposal made in September, to limit distribution of the MMM funds to the athlete families that “worked the meet” (or donated services or items) was discussed. Since only a few GBC members were at this meeting, those present would like to delay a decision on this idea until more GBC members can provide input. It was discussed that the level of contribution of time/donations to the meet varies widely, there are very few families who do not contribute to the meet in some way, and that there are a wide variety of reasons for not contributing.
Meet Hotels: Alicia presented the list of hotels she has made arrangements with for blocks of rooms and discount prices. Some of these hotels have committed to providing complimentary rooms for coaches. Alicia will send the list of hotels with a cover letter to gymnast families to encourage early booking.
Wreaths - No new news. The dates are hard and orders need to be turned in on time. Otherwise there is no guarantee you will get your 40%.
Gift Wrapping - Supplies have been purchased. We will start operating on Black Friday. Sign-up sheets will be out about 10 days before Thanksgiving. The Mall gives us the space for free with the understanding that we will have someone there at all times during Mall hours. The income is divided by volunteer hours and is distributed as an hourly rate.

· We will go over how wreath fundraiser went
· Will not have one in December. Will set for January where we will discuss gift wrap fundraiser and start planning for Mismo Magical.
· The MMM distributions of funds will be decided upon if more GBC member input is received by members present at the November meeting.
